Her uncles, The Barrino Brothers, were a 1970s R&B band.ĭespite the travels, she attended Andrews High School in High Point, North Carolina. R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo are her first cousins. Early lifeīarrino was born to Diane and Joseph Barrino and raised in High Point, North Carolina. In October 2014, she was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame. In November 2013, Barrino returned to Broadway in the musical After Midnight.
